Recycling is Hard. Blaming Plastic is Easier.
Sometimes, some stores have a "Paper Bag Day," while at other stores, it’s always Paper Bag Day. Well, that’s the new global trend now, using paper bags to be “eco-friendly” and save the planet. But here’s the weird part, the item I bought that was put in the paper bag… came in plastic packaging. Like, huh? Make it make sense. But hold up… you ready for the truth? Paper bags aren’t eco-friendly at all. Most paper bags can’t be reused because they rip easily, unlike plastic bags, which you can use a couple of times. In fact, paper bags are resource-hungry, energy-hogging, and don’t even last long. Honestly, plastic might even be the better option. Yes! making paper bags consumes more natural resources than plastic. It uses wood from trees that take years to grow, tons of water, and a lot more energy to produce.
